Preisler Construction were appointed to work with award-winning architects, Michaelis Boyd and interior designer, Louise Holt, to modernise and refresh this six storey 550 square meter stucco fronted Victorian home on one of Kensington’s most desirable streets.
The proposed works comprised extending the rear ground to first mezzanine level to provide a new study, structural alterations, overhauling and renewing all of the internal service installations including new underfloor heating and substantial redecorations and new joinery items throughout.
"Preisler Construction brought expertise to the build, with a focus on attention-to-detail, commitment to quality, and professionalism. Not only did they meet our expectations, but it was a pleasure to work with the team."
"We worked together with architects Michaelis Boyd Associates to redesign the internal layout and refining the aesthetics for the owners’ vision of a contemporary yet timeless look for their family home. This vision was beautifully executed by Martin Preisler and his team at Preisler Construction."
"We first hired Martin for a full refurbishment of a penthouse apartment in Marylebone in 2014. The quality of workmanship was exceptional and so when we did a full refurbishment of a terraced house in Kensington in 2018/2019, it was an easy decision to engage him and his team again. This was a complicated and very high specification job and we are very pleased with the results. Martin's men have worked with him for many years so we knew the workers well and it was comforting to see all the familiar faces again. The workmen were always courteous and trustworthy and they found great solutions for all problems we uncovered during the project – this was a 200 year old house so there were many surprises. We moved into our house in November 2019 and we could not recommend Martin and his team more highly – please feel free to ask him for our contact details if you would like to speak to us directly about our experience."Private client, Kensington
